A wren always makes me snile..
I was working in Sheris healing flower garden and this one perched
on the clematis trellis near me..
Perhaps it was watching for some of the worms in the soil
I was turning over..

Ooh, just found this! I like wrens, too! When I have a sprinkler going in the yard, that's the bird that comes to it the most. It LOVES the water in this rather dry area! And I like listening to its songs and calls, also.

Sheri: Lovey dubby That is a wonderful shot of the Carolina Wren!

I bet it was indeed waiting for worms ... I put dehydrated mealworms in my feeders for the Wrens. I left two Purple Martin Condo type birdhouses at our rental property and the Wrens are still nesting in them every year! Love your photo! Thumbs up

Sheri...the wrens are such cute little birds. They nest in the most amazing places on my property. Under the top of the propane tank, in the mower bag that I used only once and stored in the shed, in a cereus that was in the GH with the door open getting ready to move outside. But the best place was on the ledge of the window in my bathroom...the window was on/in the shower wall. I could shower while watching Mom/Dad bring bugs to the nestlings...they didn't mind getting a shower too...such fun Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Lovey dubby

Cutey.

There was a wren out near the carport making its wren noises the last time I went out there before dark. At least it's not supposed to freeze tonight!
