I planted Dazzleberry and Cherry Tart earlier this year. Dazzleberry started out greenish but has darkened to a nice plum color in my sun. I love the color of Cherry Tart. Lime Zinger didn't impress me too much so I opted for another October Daphne instead since it's kind sorta similar in size.

Too many gorgeous sedums out there!

Hi, I wanted to see what you were planting, with success here in the mile hi area and when I put in October Daphne this is what I got

Sedum (Hylotelephium sieboldii)

Is that the plant? I cannot seem to get sedum to grow. I have a small patch of various ones here and there but they do not seem to prosper.

They are all in containers.

Tabby, I agree about Lime Zinger too. Out of the three I have, that's my least favorite. But earlier in the summer it did have nice bright pink edges.

Marilyn, that's the one. I've had several for quite a few years. It doesn't get too big. But all are in the ground.

The sedums I have in pots are mostly the low sedums such as various alba, acre, hispanicum (purple form), sexangulare, old man's bones, and some Angelina which does fantastic every where. But I've also had Mongolian Stardust, ewersii and variegated kamtschaticum in pots for years.

Wow, I have tried Alba, Sexangulare, and I even killed Angelina among others. I have a struggling kamtschaticum (non varigated) and it looks really sad. My old man's bones did survive the winter but looks pitiful too. The Sedum that Lynn sent me all got killed by that big freeze in May.

Oh well, try try try try agin Hilarious!

Marilyn try planting the October Daphne in the ground where your vinca is growing.
I think sedum would need more water in your area, at least until the roots get a nice root system going.

They dug all the dirt including the Vinca out when they did the patio. I have been thinking I would fill it in with bricks to avoid the mess.

I did a survey and although not much I do have a few sprigs growing here and there.
Here are two different pots with John Creech and Gold bug. One has the remains of a semp....

I am pretty sure they are different plants. Somewhere I seem to remember a discussion about this.

Okay I looked back. The October Daphne is the common name and is the Scientific name. Stonecrop (Sedum sieboldii)

Not to get off the topic of the Sunsparklers but..... There is one I was thinking of that looks similar but it blooms early. I know because I purchased it thinking I was getting the Fall Bloomer October Daphne. I was told it was the same plant and it was not.

They are both wonderful Julia. Does the Kent Beauty make it through the winter in your area?

Pretty. Home Depot had Lime Zinger on sale. It looked pretty bad but since it is a sedum I knew it would be ok. It did not look dead just dull. Not as pretty as October D.

Thank you for posting a pic so I see it will be a pretty plant with care.
