Dave has a very good point about having too many forums and spreading things too thin... but just for the record, if we ever do get a northern growers forum or something to that effect I would certainly be interested!

Good Sandy. I agree that things can fragment if too many options are available but in that regard, climate, soil profile, and much else is unique so that it may even attract new interest. I probably wouldn't have stayed with cubits (and did not find community on that old site) except for the fun chat. I participate a lot in MAM (Mid Atlantic Musings) but for gardening, they are far ahead of me....they have lilies when I am still seeing daffodils. I don't think it is a frivolous division for Sassy to develop a cohesive northern group. (on golly, now she's gonna' kick me again Hilarious! )

ouch, sorry you had to take that kick, Jamie - but I agree, all those other areas have their own place, why not us! (left out in the cold yet again, i guess!) Whistling

oddly, though, on DG and Cubits it seemed that "cold weather gardening" or whatever the forums were called had pretty minimal traffic, which I never understood... I guess if necessary we can just hijack whatever forum Texas gardening is in, and then maybe Dave will give us one of our own! Smiling

oh -- edited to say -- Texas has their own forum... we should definitely hijack it! LOL

Yep Sandy...we all need to 'gather up our area peeps' from cubits and team together because we are all here but (probably due to the lack of 'community' in the gardening respect) are split all over the place. Soon Sassy will set something up. Smiling Meantime...keep gathering...

I moved her request into a new thread so that more people can see it (it is fairly buried at the end of this thread).
