I'm ordering some Foxglove seeds, and was wondering which varieties everyone likes. I'm getting the seeds from Swallowtail Seeds. They have many different ones though! I'm having trouble choosing.

I almost ordered some Digitalis and now I am glad I did not. I have one Foxglove and I am going to dig it up and throw it into the trash.

Thanks! I've grown them before, but didn't get sick from them. Maybe I removed the blooms before they set seeds. I love these plants!

Let me know if you find anything real good and I might keep one but maybe the seeds are not such a good idea. What if you inhale seed dust or something. I think I saw some cheap plants somewhere. Did you check SRG, they still have stuff for 2.49 and I got some stuff a few days ago, including two topaz desert jewels! They were not 2.49 but 7.99 and I got an email saying they got some more Desert Garnet @ 7.99 but when I went to the website they were showing 2.49. Now I feel like I am stealing.

They have seeds that are coated. I think those are the ones I will order. I'll check out the sale too! Glad you got some Delosperma. They are so awesome.

I only grow a couple of the true Perennial ones and keep them in the front yard away from my dog.

I don't have any outdoor pets. These are going in the back of my new flower bed in front.

Which ones are true perennials? If I am going to have one I want a good one. I have one called 'Digitalis Strawberry Foxglove'. Is that a good one? I got it from SRG last fall.

Santa Rosa has the Dalmation Rose!!

They have the Dalmatian Cream and Purple too. Some of them are 2.49.

Grandiflora which is yellow is also a good one.

My problem is I like them all. LOL. I feel like a cottage garden needs these. I'm making a flower bed that is kind of like a cottage garden and I want these in the back for next year. It's ok if they are biennials because I can always re-sow some more for the following year. Susan - you can always wear one of those pollen masks until your seeds are planted.

Sure, at those prices you really can't go wrong. I just got some plants from them a few days ago and they were fine.
