Celeste your blueberries look yummy. I have blueberries myself and just love to go out in the yard and eat them straight off the shrubs. Have all sorts of varieties including Chandler.

Your summer squash looks great too!

I have four plants of yellow summer squash. Mine is Golden Egg which I grew from seeds from Burpee. I also have Buckingham yellow zucchini. It is okay but I don't think I will have it again next year. Much prefer my green zucchinis.

Then I have lots of plants of various green zucchini. My favorite of them is so far is Cavilli. Light green Cavilli is a Parthenocarpic Zucchini. Meaning no pollination required.

But since I get Squash Vine Borers here, I start new plants to have healthy ones comming along. So Cavilli, Elite and a no name green zukes are producing while Caserta and Green Tiger are much younger plants that are not flowering yet. So we will see what I think of those varieties after fruit set.

How do you have so many red before me?

I just buy tomato seedlings at a really nice local nursery. I have tomato seeds but never have tried starting them. I had my tomatoes planted out really early this year, they were in ground by April 29th. And they just started growing like crazy.

Still, it felt like it took a long time till red ones where ready. But I say that every year. I do have a lot of plants and different varieties. Have-

Big Beef

Supersonic

Been picking so many I have been giving them away to neighbors and friends since last week. But I do eat a lot of them myself. I just love home grown tomatoes.

I just love the way the veggies are all colorful when I put them together after harvesting.
Squash and lots of tomatoes!

Camilla Cucumbers. Camilla is a Parthenocarpic variety developed for greenhouse growing but does just fine outside in garden conditions. It has only female flowers so is very productive. Just lots of cucumbers. No pollination required.

There are many advantages for me for growing my heat loving veggies in pots on the driveway. Mainly they get the sun and heat they need to thrive. But there are disadvantages. For instance it rained all day yesterday. Started with light drizzel for the morning but continued till evening with a nice steady soaking rain. I am sure the garden and the daylilies loved it. But I just came in from watering all my pots. They don't get much water from any rains and they have to be watered every day. Fortunately they are really near the outside hose connection.

Celeste those blueberries are to die for! Never tried growing any.
Rita your driveway garden is wonderful. Wish I could do that but then I wouldn't have a space to park 3 vehicles and the deer would just move right on in and never leave.

Here are some picks of my garden that I just took.

My mini van doesn't fit in my garage anyway. And I have plenty of room in the driveway to park it. Just that it is further towards the street than it would be if the driveway farm was not there.

Karen, I love the way you have been very inventive with your containers and placement. I think you have a fabulous container garden. Big Grin Thumbs up

On your in ground veggie areas, I see plenty of sunny grass space. You could expand! Hilarious!

Rita yes lots of sunny grass space. Only problem is it's the beloved weed free Zoysia lawn of my MIL's. I will be taking down the leaning blue spruce to the left rear of the garden and expanding another ten feet to the garden. Bugs is another issue here. The entire foundation around the house and through the raspberry patch is thick Myrtle and Pachysandra. Slowly convincing them it needs to go. Wish the deck was bigger but for now my styrofoam planters are working. I have an unheated sun porch so I'm getting ready to sow my indoor fall winter garden of greens. Last year I grew Kale, spinach, lettuce and kept all my herbs growing indoors.

Oh, I see the Blue Spruce. That should give you a nice amount of new room. And really the lawn only needs to be a few feet narrower. So they don't notice too much. Hilarious!

Todays veggie harvest looks so pretty. What can I make out of this? (Tomatoes, yellow squash and eggplant).

This morning I see my fall planted peas are up and I have baby beans formed on my bean towers. This year I am growing two varieties of french fillet beans for the first time.

I have read so much about how good the french fillet types taste. So I tasted a few even though they are small and they are so good. They taste like string beans full of flavor. But tender and sweet. These are going to be really good. Thing is if I pulled a common String bean this young, it really wouldn't have much flavor. These French Fillet Beans are going to be a big success with me, I think.

I have these on my "bean towers". Really just two extra sturdy and tall tomato cages that I decided would be perfect for beans. Most of the french fillet types I have seen are bush beans but I wanted pole beans. So I finally found both a burgundy and a yellow french fillet pole and those are what I have growing.

Raining slightly this morning but I pulled up three of my squash. Two Buckingham yellow zucchini plants which just don't look thrifty at this point. Not my favorites anyway, might not be returned next year. And one of the Golden Egg yellow squash. I had not intended to pull that Golden Egg but had no choice. The stem completely broke and you could see why what with the SVB eaten center stem.

I do have some yellow squash seedlings of one called Safron. So I will plant those out in the pots and reuse them. Those were the two types of yellow squash seeds I bought this spring from Burpee, Safron and Golden Egg. I just love the Golden Egg so want to try out the Safron also.
