Insect Repellent Damage

The mosquitoes have been nasty the last few weeks and many folks use repellent spray to keep them away. Please be aware that you may damage your plants from the over spray of the chemicals.

We've done the same thing here. This year it was just the leaves on a pussy willow tree growing near our deck, but it certainly could have been worse. I had orchids and seedling trays nearby...

Sorry for the "delayed reply". Yes, I will pay attention next year for sure. Damage on annuals are one thing, but perennials & shrubs may be left with a scar.
