I got this plant from a friend who got it from a friend who was an avid daylily grower. That person has since passed away so it isn't possible to ask and my friend is anything but a daylily fan (pun not intended), he refers to them as "weeds" so he never kept the name tags. The closest thing I could find was Exploded Pumpkin but I'm not sure that it is that. Anybody have any other possibilities? I know it's almost impossible to get an accurate ID from pictures and there are so many cultivars out there but any suggestions would be appreciated! I only got it last fall and this is the first flowering for me so I have no idea about full scape height or rebloom. I think it is a evergreen or semi-evergreen. The second one is a plant I bought but can't remember where. It is a "__________ Candy". Can anybody fill in the blank? I had it labeled and like so many of my other plant labels this year the squirrels have made off with it. I think they are starting their own garden somewhere!

You Angel You

I do not have a good picture of Exotic Candy but it looks like it could be that one.

You're welcome Brian, glad to help. So many times we post the message about over 70,000 registered daylilies...and it is so disappointing to not be able to help someone id their dayliliy. This time we got it! Thumbs up

Sorry Theresa I had typed out a reply to your post but I see it never made it to the thread here. Lost in Cyber space!
Yes I'm positive the one is Exotic Candy as I remembered it as soon as I saw the name in Char's posting.
I don't think that my double can be You Angel You as the flower is much too large for that. It's at least 5" diameter.
I don't know when exactly my friend got it but he's had it for a number of years now and I see Exploded Pumpkin was only registered in 2011.

Thanks Frillylily! I checked them out and I think I've found one that very closely resembles my plant in both photo and description. Of course I can't be 100% certain but they sure are similar. I'll enter it in my records as a possibility. Topguns Copper Butterflies is the one it looks like.
