I'm sure you get compliments, but has anyone recognized them, or taken an interest?

I search high and low for good plants, haven't scored many from offices, lots of peace lilys and majesty palms...

Looking good buddy
Please tree mail me for trades, I'm ALWAYS actively looking for more new plants, and love to trade!

Dave, Have you thought of purchasing or building a rectangular box for your Gloriosum?

A rectangular box sounds like a good idea. I am impressed with its growth after it settled in. Gorgeous plant.

Here's my newest Philo, had it a few months.

This vine is really taking off, P. erubescens. Time to decide on & install a support for it, I want it growing up, at least the 1 stem. Looks like 1 entity, but it's 2 separate stems, one dangling, one holding itself up, so far anyway, probably not for long if left to its' own devices. This plant feels kind of new although I've had it for about 18 mos. Took it a while to settle in and start growing really nicely and fast, this summer.

They both look great Tiffany. Any idea how tall of a totem you want for P. erubescens? I searched it and it sure looks nice climbing.

TYVM! Doorway height is the usual limit, though we do have 10 foot ceilings in this old house... a little tilt going in/out wouldn't be so bad? I'm sure the support will be something homemade/repurposed. I'll move it to a 5-gallon bucket for that. I'd love to see if it can make bigger leaves, climbing. The newer leaves are already 3x the size of the oldest ones.

I would use a 1 x 6' Cedar 8' and you will probably never have to change the totem again. After that height you can always cut the leader (s). It will look great on that length.I have to bring my Monstera deliciosa in every Fall and it has an 8' totem. I have to tilt it as well to get it in.

Wow! Inspiring, TYVM! Someday I will find a Monstera and watch it grow!

When I have staked my vine, I'll take a new pic.

Yep, they didn't name them "Monstera' for nothing. That is a magnificent one, Drew! What happens when it gets too tall, can you lop it off and have it branch? Or donate it to the local shopping mall? Smiling

The varying greens of the old to new leaves is very nice.
