This is one of my favorites for this year. First time to grow one. I got it in early May this year:


I did not repot it anymore, looks okay as it is. After reading a lot about its watering needs..I have regularly given it water, like everyday this summer. And it likes it a lot. Caudex plumped back and leaves are opening better now. I have read it also has nice blooms..so far no budding that I can see..maybe still too young to do it.

You can check the blooms on Pachypodiums at http://www.out-of-africa-plant... - they have a poster with all the different bloom types.

The owners also told me that Pachys like lots of water in the summer, just none in the winter.

Great website. I have bought from them years ago and still have those plants. Good stuff.
Tarev, cute Pachy! It probably needs another year or two to bloom and this one blooms white at the beginning of the growing season in the Spring.
