Okay, here goes with some yellow/gold semps/heuffelii in my collection.

This one only has this bright yellow coloring in the spring. I believe it is because it is in a stressed state from all the rain and cold. As soon as the weather warms and the rains stop it turns green.

Check out Janice's photos of this one. Even more golden than my photos.

I know there are probably more, just need to find them.

Yes, the photo is not color altered. But it only does that in the wet part of spring. I don't know if it would color up like that if it was kept dry.

Thank you for that information Peter, I added it to the database.
Mine does have that bright yellow color for a short time in the spring. It is like a beacon in the middle of the bed at that time.

Oh Chris, I have so missed your wonderful photos. Everything in its season. Photos will come at a later time. Group hug

Hello Greg;

there are some amazing breeders in germany - but also around in europe;

the greatest breeder of sempervivum and jovibarba in europe is undisputed André Smits in Belgium;

up-to-date he created about 1.300 sempervivum- and 2.100 jovibarba-cultivars and they are all bewitching Drooling

it's quiet difficult to breed some really new....and I only know the appearence of about 60% of his creatures;

there is still a lot to collect; my 1.500 cultivars are only a beginning ;-)

Oh Peter, what a most amazing collection you must have. Do you grow them in containers or beds? Or both?
Would love to see photos of how you grow them.
If you have time to share photos with us, would you post them in this thread? The thread "Peter Dieckmann "Discuss what is going on in Europe"" in Sempervivum forum
That way we won't lose them. Smiling
