Hi Pat! Welcome! to ATP!

I'm not AlohaHoya/Carol, but I am curious as to what you mean by discolored leaves?

I used to grow the Hindu Rope Hoya: Hindu Rope Hoya (Hoya carnosa 'Compacta') but here in Florida it's extremely humid and my big plant was such a mealybug magnet that it was hard to keep up with those pests during the summer time. I lost the plant to a winter freeze a few years ago and although it was a beauty, I've never missed it.

Can you post a photo of the "discolored" leaves on your plant? I'm wondering if they are yellowing, which could mean that your plant is getting either too much or too little water; or if they have black spots/patches, it could mean a fungal infection which I've gotten on some of my plants during humid, rainy weather.

Any hoya can have the stems pruned/trimmed ... and if they are healthy you can pot them up for new plants!

I hope you can upload a photo or two so that we can see what you mean by discolored leaves.

Again, Welcome to ATP ... I hope you find time to browse the forums that might interest you, pop in and introduce yourself! We're a very friendly group and you will love it here!
