I was told it would not grow to big and I took them at there word. me and my wife Nicole planted it next to the steps at our front porch and it is starting to worry me!! that it is going to get way to big. Please some one let us know if I need to move it or should i keep it cut back??it looks like it may bloom soon. If I need to move it when would be the best time to do so.THANK YOU

Hi Damian, Welcome to ATP! Your plant doesn't look like Jasmine to me but there are many different types so perhaps someone will recognize it and give some feedback. Once you see flowers please try to post another photo of the bloom; that should ID it for sure!

Well, I don't know where you live, but it looks like cestrum nocturnum and here, in my area it will grow to 12' tall....
edited to add....
cestrum nocturnum is Night Blooming Jasmine, so that would be where your 'jasmine' part comes in and there may be dwarf forms with which I'm not familiar...likewise, there may also there may be other cestrums that are dwarf in nature...
I could be wrong...

I think Sherry may very well have identified your plant! Thumbs up I don't know why I didn't think of the "Night Blooming Jasmine" (Cestrum nocturnum). I remember years ago my mom liked sleeping with her bedroom window open during the summer but she had difficulty breathing from the overpowering fragrance of the next door neighbor's huge night blooming jasmine. When these wonderful neighbors heard of my moms reaction to the blooms they chopped down their huge plant!

For photo comparison, scroll down this page in the database: Night Blooming Jasmine (Cestrum nocturnum)
