Here is a photo of my first clematis blooms--ever! I tried growing clematis in containers several years ago and didn't have much luck so I am not counting any blooms that might have been on them. I don't even remembver if they ever bloomed! Anyway, a DG friend gave me two clematis last fall at our RU. I thought I had lost them during the winter but the hardy little things started showing some green leaves and one of them is actually blooming. I was so excited! The thing is I don't have a name for either one of them. This one that is blooming had a tag with it that said 'pink clematis', but you can tell by looking at the blooms that is is not pink--more like white with a tinge of purple. I was hoping that somebody could ID this one for me, please?

Very nice...sorry I can't ID for you.

Once you get hooked on clematis it is an addiction for life......they are gorgeous! Personally I feel growing in the garden is muh better than in pots. Good luck!

Thank you, Dawn. I would have clematis everywhere if I had enough things for them to climb on! LOL I have a friend who has an absolutely gorgeous purple clem. I should get over to her house and take a photo of it to share with y'all.

One more photo of the clematis above, which now has 3 blooms on it.
Thumbs up

thanks, Dawn! She added a fourth bloom this week but our strong winds yesterday and today have blown the petals off a couple of the blooms! Thumbs down

Your pretty white clematis looks very much like one I have in bloom right now. I never knew what it was for certain, but some folks here at Cubits tell me it is Henri (?) I love mine so much, I have a photo posted somewhere on this cubit... Rolling my eyes. not sure which forum... Rolling my eyes.

Thanks, Kay! I will check that out to see how my clematis compares to Henri. Unfortunately, the recent winds have finished off all of the blooms--the petals are all gone. I have a friend who has a beautiful purple clematis that was literally covered in blooms and all the petals on it are now gone, thanks to the wind. Thumbs down Thumbs down

It has been super windy here also. It's wreaking havoc on the plant stands and nurseries, trying to keep the plants watered and upright. Today, drenching rain...I looked back and found the correct spelling is Henryi...... Whistling

Thanks for the correct spelling, Kay. I just googled it and as far as I can tell by switching back and forth between my photos and the ones on google, I do have a "Henryi". So that is the name I am going to call it, explaining to whoever is interested, that I am not 100% sure. Is that too confusing? Confused Hilarious!

I completely get that. My pretty white Clem came with no identification. The people here told me his name and that's what it will be known as!
