Dave this add is popping up on the a Sedum thread. I try closing it and it pops up again when I try to go to a different page of the thread. When I close it I am back where I started. It just keeps repeating the same process and won't let me change pages.

Thanks for this, Lynn. Popups are never supposed to appear and I'm looking into this right now. All our ads are served by Google and their policy is also "no popups" so I don't know how this is happening. Your screenshot is a tremendous help, thank you!

Lynn, there is a "skyscraper" ad on the right side of the page, in the blue bar. Are you mousing over that ad when this happens? I think that's what is causing this. When the mouse passes over the ad it causes it to open up (this is my theory).

Please confirm whether you're interacting with the ad on the right side.

I noticed that the add to the right has a "hover to watch" button at the bottom. The only way I get a pop up is if I hover over this button, and then I have to hold the mouse there for a few seconds for it to load.

That's what my reading found. These are called interactive ads and you have to either click on them or hover of them for a bit first.

I just tried it again. It opens if you inadvertently touch even an upper edge of the add with my mouse.

Ok, I've set the account preferences on my ad system to never allow any interactive ads. It might take an hour or two for the settings to take effect. If this is still happening by after lunch please let me know!

Not so with this one. Just a hint of touching anywhere on the add for even a moment while moving the mouse, causes it to open immediately.
