I was hoping for some help. I purchased a sedum at my local nursary. It states it is a Vera Jameson. I did pick out the most purplest of the bunch because the color fits in that bed the best. It is a new plant this yr but it doesnt much resemble the ones posted here. Can there be alot of variation in color within the same kind of sedum or at different times if yr? Here are acouple pictures of mine.

Yes, the color can vary due to growing conditions, such as light, water, time of year, soil. That is a nice one you have Brandi.
Would love for you to add your photos to the database.

I have about 8 different tall varieties but I have lost the names for most of them. Same for the short types about 8 of them but I can't quite keep them named either.

I'm not sure how many different sedum I have. I have both types, tall and ground cover. Would love to see photos of your other sedum.

I just added to my collection Sat. when I found a specie growing in the Oregon mountains. I believe it to be S. laxum.

I have quite a few sedums both tall and creeping.
I have two of them that look pretty much the same but there is a slight difference in the bloom I think one is probably Autumn Joy and the other Autumn Brilliance, then there is Autumn Delight & what I think is Autumn Frost. Then there is Purple Emperor.

Another one that looks like PE but I think it may be a different dark tall sedum I doubt that I would have bought two of them. I have another one that reminds me of your Vera Jameson and another that has the biggest leaves I have ever seen on a sedum I think the biggest is about 5 inches. Several of these came from a Sedum Co-op several years ago and the names were mixed up or lost.

Gee, those last photos are of the biggest sedums I've ever seen. I've been hitting the nurseries this weekend looking for smaller sedums similar to size of Sedum anglicum 'Suzy Q'. Didn't find too much and need to keep looking.

Holly those are some very big leaves in that last photo.
I am going through the same thing right now with some of my sedum, lost tags and not a clue. Sad

Just a question: Why is there 2 sedum chat threads, on 2012 and one 2013? Looks like a post in July 2013 got tacked on after a post made in Oct 2012...?

Thank you for the heads up Bev. Looks like I didn't lock the old 2012 thread. It is now locked and I moved the few posts and created a new thread with them, Vera Jameson color variations.

I was out at one of the local nurseries today. After looking at the Vera Jameson sedums they have, I am pretty sure that is what I have. They also had one named Neon that had huge leafs just like my big one. I am pretty sure that was one of the sedums I had bought in the co-op so I will be looking up the Neon and see what they say about it and maybe when it blooms I will be able to tell for sure.
