Bleeds a white sap with purple and green leaves also seems to be attracted to darker areas in my house

Wow, nice plant! I agree that it's the "African Milk Bush" but the genus was apparently changed to Euphorbia:

African Milk Bush (Euphorbia bicompacta var. rubra)

Hey there Moon! The only reason I knew about the name change on this one is because I went looking for it in the database recently ... I still have my plant labeled as Synadenium which I guess it a Synonym ... it's all so confusing sometimes. Blinking

Hopefully each time we find name changes, we can add them to the Plant Database along with all the regional common names so that anyone can enter a name and find out what plant and what other names are associated with their search name.
