That is a wonderful clematis. Is it on a trellis? What zone are you in.

Hi and Thanks Gary! I am in Zone 7A and yes, it is on a trellis.
Thank you ZuZu and Calif Sue.
I am a little worried about it now as it dried up alot. Do clems do that? I have seen that before in the clems.....

And I just got it last year, so it took me by surprise, having about 25 other clems that just dawdle along.

Yes, they do that, Janice. They dry up and look horrible and then they come back and look lovely. I had some that dried up in June, so I cut back the dry parts to about 6 inches and now they're tall and blooming again.

I am drooling! I have heard good things about this clem. I got one earlier this spring but had it in a pot and the sprinkler system wasn't working. It is in the "ICU" now, so hopefully I will get a show like you one day.

I planted 6 Clems at the base of that trellis, so some of the leaves you see are of the others.
We had Clems blooming there for quite a good while. Some before the Prince and alot after.
I always do that with my trellises.
Let them duke it out and may the best man win!
