of course i know , it is old Chinese rose,was named fen zhuang lou ,I do not know how to spell it `s name in English .that photo was taken in July ， it was so hot in the south of china ,the tep reached 95, this rose is not the best performance at that time but the spring , it`s flower just as following photos ,it is cut flower .

yes i very glad to stay here,I FEEL very honored , thank you ,zuzu I have been growing this rose in the bucket for half a year.it blooms almost the four seasons but the stems are crestfallen in spring

I've added it to the database. I found three different spellings for it in English, but the most common one is Fen Zhang Lou. I've added the other two (Fen Zhuang Lou and Fen Zhang Lu) to the entry as well.

Are you in Japan, Farmwind? I notice that most of the places selling this rose are in Japan.

I think you're the Rose Forum's first member in China. My father and mother grew up in China. Their families escaped the Russian revolution by moving to Harbin in Manchuria and lived there for about 20 years.

Some of photos are from my friends in Chinese rose forum ,and I have her permission , since I began to fall in love with gardening for not so long ,it was the first bloom in summer and the blooms were not standard as I showed in All Things Gardening ,so I have her permission to use her photos that bloomed in spring and autumn . The first Chinese member here .It is a memorable thing for me ,I LOVE gardening so much ,and I VERY happy to here to know more about gardening from different places It must be an unforgettable experience for your parents at that time, Harbin,it is the coldest city in winter in China.there is also another name for Harbin,it`s Oriental Moscow, China has been changing ,I hope you can have a visit to China some time
