Veronica, about 50 of mine are in containers, but I'm determined to get them all out of the containers and into the ground this year or next. No matter how large the pots are, the clems just don't do as well in pots as they do in the ground. For one thing, the roots grow like crazy, so they need to be repotted in larger containers constantly. I was keeping them in pots because of a lack of space, but now I'm thinking of just growing four or five in the spots I'd originally reserved for one, and l'll just let the different colors and shapes work together.

Sue, your photos are stunning!

Gorgeous pictures everyone!

I'll have pictures next year as I obtained about 30 new clems this year. Some from Evey, and they were gorgeous clems, and some from the Donahue co-ops, and some from a friend who brought some back from England for me stuffed in a suitcase.

Now to get trellises for some of them. Some are planted to grow through shrubs. If anyone has a Hobby Lobby they have some cute, reasonably priced trellises.

Keep the pictures coming please!

So lovely! I think the lighting in California must be the best. Those flowers look terrific! Dawn is amazing. I don't have a lot to show. Most of mine are fairly new. These were two before the month heat wave of 100+

Belle of Woking this May. I have had it for 6+ years and usually get one vine with one or two flowers! This was the best show yet. It helps when the plant gets some fertilization!

Oh, I planted 2 of those beautiful Franziska Marias last year and neither one of those lovelies survived. I am willing to try again. I'm new to the vining experience and will need some help. So what else is new??? Hilarious! Hilarious!

This has turned out to be a great place for it. It is growing through a black dalea plant that also has small flowers of the same color

It's amazing how you can cut them back so drastically and they rebound so quickly.

I was hoping this would cover the fence better, but considering it started as a 3.5 in the spring and is a lot of shade, it is doing well.

I really enjoyed looking at all the pictures.
Zuzu, My favorite here is Multi blue too.
So unfair that some I really like wont grow here, but I love Michigan, so I guess I'm stuck.

I've tried growing Niobe twice now, but it has died each time. I've heard that it is a little tricky.
