I have those same Gaillardias Tara. I have a batch of the large Blackeyed Susans that mutates and keeps green petals that never turn yellow that appear every year.
I used to have a huge patch of coneflowers before I got into daylilies. In 2007 I took these pictures because I didn't know why the blooms were mutating like this. I didn't know it was called fasciation. I don't know that I would call them beautiful, but they are unique

Those pictures speak words that most would fear to say about what they see in them. Nature is nature. If these were inkblots, what would the therapist possibly think the right answer should be?!
