Humor me here. we have 20" of snow. So what can I do but look at plants for next year?

Just wondering if anyone else was looking and what they found they need for 2011.

Wow, great list. Are you going to try to get the last two from Canada? I have not seen those in the states.

Quite a trip from Texas to Canada. But if you go there should not be much problem bringing it back. Contact the officials at the US part of the crossing where you will be, and ask what is needed. The nursery should give you the proper papers, and as long as it is either bare root, or potted in soil less mix, it should be no problem.

That is what I have heard. It is the soil that is the problem, not the plant. Have you crossed the border with plants?

I have not, but I've purchased wholesale from Canada,. and also talked to a DG member Ginny, who brings plants across. She lives in Canada, and brings them across to the US to mail.

She is Inanda on DG and Cubits, if you ever need to talk to her. She's pretty knowledgeable.

Actually I wanted to get Omoshiro also, and tried to find it wholesale. No go.

I want Omoshiro too, especially after seeing Pirl's fabulous photos of it. They are exquisite. One of them won first place in the perennials category in this year's DG photo contest.

Thank you, thank you! I ran right over there and ordered it. I need to order some more, but at least I got that one in.

If you google pictures of Omoshiro, I don't think it takes a bad picture. It's a gorgeous clem.

Hurry up Anna!!!!!!! It looks like they have Maria too.

I didn't either and I had signed up for it also. Maybe it was just too quick, as I know he was updating yesterday. Brushwood owner assured us over on Daves Garden that the ones sold so far have been reserved for us.

Nice selections! I only ordered Omoshiro, but will go back and add more later.

He sent a newsletter out today to announce that Omoshiro is available and he said he hadn't sent out the notifications yet, but I think he said there were 300 people on the waiting list.

He must have been propagating Omoshiro like mad this year. Glad he did.
