Never say never you don't know if you don't try it. I was at a large craft fair where they were giving out samples of fruit jams with jalapenos in it, I didn't think I would like it but gave it a try and really liked the taste. I would have never tried it but for the samples.
If you want to be happy for a lifetime plant a garden!

I know you're right but if I know it has them, I won't taste it. Now, if I tasted and then found out, that's a different story. I'm just sometimes funny about food.

How are you going to layer? Make raspberry and peach jam separately then pour in the same jar? I'm not sure the flavors would be the same as they are when the fruits are cooked together, but to each their own. Smiling

That's a good point. But since I make freezer jam I will do them separate since they may need different treatment. But I could layer and swirl to try and blend the color.

A few days ago, I made Plum-Peach. I bought a variety of plums and pluots at the grocery, cooked them down with skins on, then ran them through a food mill to remove skins. Then, added finely chopped fresh peaches to make the amount of fruit needed for the jam recipe. I've made plum-nectarine in the past too, as well as plum-peach-pineapple by adding a half cup to cup of canned crushed pineapple in it's own juice (drained). Peach-pineapple is always good too! I rarely make just one fruit anymore - combining them is so much more interesting!

That was my thought also Arlene - make two separate batches, layer, dip a knife in and swirl.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.

And it is such a long drive that since I am there I might as well stay a bit and visit. Better get the guest room ready too. And be making lots of waffles. Waffles and ice cream, waffles and eggs, waffles and steak. Waffles for all three meals. Thumbs up Hilarious!
