I would like to start a thread so people can post pictures of their orders received, for comparison.

Please post pictures of orders received as you get them in, along with the company name, and any comments you wish to make. I have read lots of feedback on the companies, but would love to see pictures so I can compare them myself.

Thanks, everyone.

No, not necessarily. If you could note the year, we could compare how they vary from each place year to year also. Smiling

Here's two I received wholesale from Walters Gardens. This is a company many retail stores buy from. The number 1 wholesaler in the states.

Anyway, just for comparison to what we get from the growers. Ashva on the left Isago on the right. I had to put them in gallon pots.

Awesome roots Polly, I am waiting for that Walter's co-op order, I ordered 2 clems. We have a couple of real nice local nurseries here with nice selections but I am trying real hard to hold off buying any more as all my things are still in pots. I need to get gopher cages for my roses and most of the clems will be paired with them except some of the taller ones will get their own support. So much to do here, it's overwhelming so just a little at a time.

This box is 12 " high.
Some of the plants have scrawny roots, but I am satisfied b/c of the reasonable shipping fee and healthy plants. I planted them in the ground.

Would you mind mentioning where they came from?

Looks like you're going to be clematised up this year!

Those look like they came from Brushwood. Some clems have a smaller root system.
I am glad to see what Walter's looks like as I too have a couple coming from them.

I planted all of mine from Brushwood weeks ago, so I can't show you what they looked like when they arrived, but a couple of them are already blooming. Here's the first bloom on Omoshiro. I took this picture on March 30th and this bloom is still open.

This is a weee of topic but I need an ID. I didnt want to start a new thread just for 1 question about an emerging clem.
This is comming up in a pot where I had Biju planted. I forgot if I tossed it in early March ?or if I forgot to toss it.Honestly I thought it was dead.

It this a clem or no.

This is my Joy Creek order. I am underwhelmed as I had expected better when seeing Pirls photos from a few years ago.
I dont believe they require 3 dollars more per plantbecause theirs are so fabulous.
I recieved a Komurasagi (sp) and could hardly find it. In spite of their claime the plants are 2 years old, this plant is realllly small. When I went back to website it was removed. Mine must have been the last in line.
The other three are in good condition.

the one that might not make itKorumasaki. I will plant in pot where it will be permanently but no big hole for it until I am sure it will live.

Honestly Korumasaki looks pretty good to me. Just late new growth.
