Just wondering... what do you use as a reference to identify them (and other wildflowers)?

I got a wonderful book 'Wildflowers of the Pacific Northwest by Mark Turner & Phyllis Gustafson. It's a Timber Press Field Guide. Awesome book that is in color coded sections by bloom color.

Ha! It is sitting right here in front of me. That is kind of why I asked . I also have "A Field Guide to Pacific States Wildflowers" and one called "Plants of Western Oregon, Washington and British Columbia". That one is more technical with keys to follow. A good reference selection when used together.

Yes, that is it. Warning: it is not for the non-technical plant enthusiast. Make sure you read the reviews before deciding to buy. I first learned plant ID using keys (self taught, who knows how often I actually got it right ). I just like having the combination of the two types of references.

The Turner/Gustafson book does a pretty good job for the hobbyist and I like that they have those maps showing where the plants can be found.

I just ordered it. I did get to see some of the content on Amazon. Looks like a most interesting book. Thank you Connie for the information.
