People who have seen photos of my garden often think it much larger than it is. My whole city lot is 50' by 100'. On that is a small house, single car garage, driveway, front side walk, back deck and patio. The rest is all flower beds and paths. Here is a photo taken in early May looking towards the house.

This arbor is just off the right in the photo above. The Jackmanii clematis is just starting to grow here. You can see the park bench in both photos. It's in full sun, but a nice place to sit on cooler days. The arbors at each end of the path were made by my brother and both have Jackmanii clematis on either side.

This photo was taken while standing in the driveway and looking towards the park that is across the street from me. The annuals were just planted and need to fill in. You can see the strip between the street and sidewalk where I have a very public garden bed.

This shot of the front strip was taken May 21. There are lots of columbines, Iris, daylilies, lilies and other assorted perennials that grow there. It is edged in mostly coreopsis and annuals.

This corner is along the edge of the sidewalk and driveway. Photo shows it in Mid June when the annuals are starting to take off. Last summer was abnormally cool and the pansies kept blooming almost until fall. I did plant a Lantana in among them to fill in around them after the heat started.

June 15. This is the area near the park bench and looking towards my neighbor's driveway. Lilies are showing off.

By July things are rather chaotic, one of the downfalls of being a collector. Daylilies are at peak bloom time. This was taken from my front steps.

The back yard in June. Not much going on at this time. The Iris are about done blooming and the earlies daylilies just starting. Later last summer most of the large tree on the other side of the fence fell and smashed a lot of the backyard. I had to redo the corner and added a couple raised beds there. Still in the process of redoing some of the paths, but it will have to wait until spring. That's goat's beard blooming center right.

Thanks. It's not fancy, but sure gives me a lot of pleasure. Here's a shot of the Clematis blooming. They bloom some all summer long, but the heaviest in the Spring.

Wow!!! Susan, you have made such fabulous use of your space and your setting by a park is ideal! How long has it taken you to build such beauty there?

Thanks. I've lived here a little over 20 years. Over that time 3 very large trees have fallen and changed it from a mostly shade yard to a mostly all full sun yard. The flower beds just got a little bigger each year until about 10 years ago there was no lawn left. This is what it looks like in the winter. The park across the street is nice. There is a large waterfall there I will post photos of sometime.
