I just noticed that the latest Image Set photos on the home page are now labeled "Multi-Plant Photos." Which is perhaps a bit more understandable for new viewers, but wouldn't it make sense to also change the name of the Webapp to reflect that as well? Just a thought, and I have no idea how long the new name has been there! (so much for my observational powers! Rolling my eyes. )

@Dave, is there a way to search image sets by plant name?

Evan, I think if you go to the database entry for a particular plant, it will show any multi-plant photos that include that plant.

woofie's got the right answer. Also you can click on the most commonly used genera at the top of the Multi-Plant Photos front page. I can extend it to allow better searching and browsing.

I am enjoying seeing others and contributing my own multi-plant photos. It adds another dimension to my ATP experience. When I started focusing on taking plant pictures a few year ago I took quite a few multi-plant shots but started taking less and began taking more of individual plants to add to the data base. Often I was looking for those "pretty faces" which I still love. Then I started looking more closely at the entire plant and other things like leaves. Now I am watching for nice possibilities for the multi-plan photos. I've been going through my older folders today and have found a number to contribute in the future. I hope that others who add wonderful pictures here will get enthused about the multi-plants photos. Look in your old pictures and look for chances to take new ones. Now I'll get off my soap box .

Good point, Paul. And it is really helpful to tag them -- I love the option of looking up a new plant and instantly having access to the examples of use with other plants. I have also focused my photos on plant portraits, which I have just about completed, and will now focus on groupings.

Those searches work well. The Frequently Tagged Plants: is just what I was looking for. Homer moment! Well said Paul.

Personally, I think it is one of the greatest features of ATP. If it isn't yet, it sure will be in a few years!

We should put an acorn bounty on this feature soon! Green Grin!

The whole Image Set idea (oops, excuse me "Multi-Plant Photo" Smiling ) idea is really cool! I don't think there's anything like it anywhere else. And the Frequently Tagged is just frosting on that cake! But the pictures are giving me grandiose ideas.....sigh. Rolling my eyes.

Personally I like it best when the image shows up in the database entries. Now that's value added. Only thing is, you have to copy/paste the url or Plant ID number into the tag box for the image to show up.

Can just anyone go in and adjust the tags on an Image Set (oops, sorry, I'm hard to re-train)? Or do any changes have to be made by the original poster?

I just did my first image set or multi photo. I was so surprised at how easy it was to do. I just haven't up till now as I thought it would be difficult but it was so easy!

And it is so much fun!
