I love the Frostweed in my garden. In the sun or shade it grows tall and straight very large leaves. It doesn't mind me chopping it back to make it bush. I love the ribbons along the mature stems. Then late in the summer when some things are nearing the end of their blooming period, it puts out a burst of white clusters. The monarchs love it; and so do the bees, hairstreaks, and others. It was also a host plant for Silvery Checkerspot butterfly in my yard, then when the leaves are brown and all is left is a stalk, along comes winter and makes the beautiful namesake formations. Yep, it's a keeper for me.
Of course being from north Texas, I got my first start of Frostweed from Josephine! Thank you my friend!
