One of our Austin members sent me the coolest photos of his "pot man" that he made. I asked if he'd post them here, or could I do it for him.

This is greenman's pot man! Those are really big pots!! He says, "it weighs a ton!"

I was hoping greenman would come in and tell you how he constructed "Potman." I'm not sure, but it must have some heavy wire to hold up those arms and legs. Maybe some strong glue, like E6000, for the body?

It basically has ( 2 ) ½” x 4ft. steel rods that have thread the whole length of rod that goes from the wood base to the head. Starting at the base put the rod thru the base with a washer an nut on the bottom then slid a pot down the rod put another washer an nut on top of this pot an hand tighten the nut, then slip a spacer made from ¾ PVP pipe 2” long then another pot, washer, nut do the same until the legs are the length you want. After you have the leg done slid the bottom bigger pot on the rod and secure this with another nut and washer then invert the next pot, then the pot that makes the head, there should be enough of the rod showing inside the head to secure it all together with a washer and nut. You will have to drill two holes in the bottom of the big pots so that the rod past from the top pot thru the legs and the base. Build the arms in the same manner as the legs.

She's perfect! I recognize that pineapple plant too. At the June Garden Club of Austin Plant and Flower show, you won King of the Show with it! Will you take her head dress off and store it in the greenhouse this winter, or eat it?? Crying

Thanks David, but that's at a friend's house. She has an annual Halloween and Easter celebration for friends, family, and neighbors. It's quite a spectacle when decorated for the seasons.
