This is growing in a pot of Rosemary that I repotted a few months ago. It isn't something I've purchased or ever grown. I can't recall for certain but I may have mixed in some old potting soil from pot left by the prior owners. This seems to have just started growing within the past month. Maybe some type of succulent? The leaves are thin and waxy feeling. I'd like to try and keep it but don't know growing requirements.

Could it be an Aeonium 'kiwi'?

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not sure, the leaves seem more rounded and flat than the photos I've looked at of Aeonium 'kiwi. I'm wondering if it could be an immature seedling though. I did read on one site that they would grow from seed, but like any other hybrid, won't come true unless vegetative propagation is used.

It looks like something I had as a "volunteer awhile back (last year I think). Someone on here ID'd it for me, let me poke around and see if I can find what it was! Smiling

Well, it's not what I had as a volunteer; mine was Rumex obtusifolius (Bitter Dock):

It looks so familiar though with those kinda ruffly leaf edges and I'm real curious as to what it is ... I'd let it grow to see it mature. Maybe someone will recognize it and give an ID, I'll be watching. Smiling

Yep, am going to let it grow, it seems happy with the Rosemary. If I don't know what it is by winter, I'll bring it inside.

This one looks more succulent. Reminds me of a small Begonia.

Jay: I thought Begonia too, it reminded me of foliage of some of the Semperflorens (Wax) Begonia's when they receive high light: http://garden.org/plants/searc...

What ever it is would have had to either come in new, bagged potting soil or overwintered in a pot in zone 6. I did mix the soil from a few old pots into some of the fresh soil earlier in the year.

Or, a critter could have buried it in the pot ... happens sometimes! Green Grin! I've had squirrels did bulbs out from a flowerbed and dig another hole and bury them elsewhere (I watched it happen!) This past spring I planted some small bulbs (can't remember what plant) in a container on my deck and the squirrels dug them up. I found one bulb in a hanging plant in the tree by the deck! Dang squirrels! Grumbling

I can't resist, I almost said:

Dang ... that's where my Begonia (or whatever) went ... it's at VickiW's house! but then I guess squirrels don't travel from Florida to Kentucky! Rolling on the floor laughing

It does look like a begonia. This year I had what appears to be a Begonia boliviensis sprout in the container my Peruvian Lily lives in. This had to have been dropped seed from last year's plant, so it's quite possible that yours came from the soil you recycled. Smiling
