I have several iris' that I ordered and have. I want so much to plant them but this whole week but we have been having high 90's with a heat index over 100 degrees. But I know the sooner they get planted the more of a chance they have to get established before it freezes and we get our usual iowa winters. I guess what I am wondering plant now in the brutal heat and dry conditions or wait till it cools? Kim Confused

Do you have few enough you can pot them (many to a pot) and put someplace cool, like a garage. 100 is just a tad high.

Or, can you shade the bed they are going to?
