Hello treehugger! Welcome! You can read about the Acorns here: http://garden.org/special/acor...

And, you can purchase the cute little "microbadges" for 5 acorns apiece on your profile page under "Your Actions": manage your microbadges; browse and add badges! Please don't hesitate to ask any questions ... I'm not too good at explaining things but we're a very friendly bunch here and someone will always know the answer to questions! Green Grin!

Warm greetings from the Pacific Northwest, as well. Hope you settle in here and enjoy some of the forums which interest you. An easy way to acquire acorns is to post pictures into the database, and that helps increase our knowledge base as well.

Welcome to ATP....the friendliest people around on the internet are right here!! I Thumbs up is a great away to acknowledge a post. On the specific Plant Forums I like to give thumbs up to people who post photos. I think if they took the time to post they deserve a little Thank You.
