LookingForInflo. I am a patient person but this is getting ridiculous!!

I feel your pain, Cheryl. Some of mine that should be covered with blooms have yet to get an inflo. Guess the GH will be especially pretty this winter

Out of time?! Nooooooo! Don't say that! Here in the deep south, I had info as late as November. I hoped I had up until then at least? No???

Any flower stalks showing at all, Cheryl?

Doc Dawg- I put on my big girl glasses yesterday and took a good looksee. I have 10 plumeria if you include the stubborn little Third Try red cutting I have. The pudica are in two pots, I have like 4-5 stalks with soon to be 2 more broken ones added. The oldest plumie is over 6 feet tall and another about 5 feet. the rest are 2-3 feet. There are plenty of new leaves coming up but none that look like inflo. Maybe I should just stop watching, as the watched pot never boils. In the mean time, the Red cutting from Hawaii I gave my GF a year ago bloomed. I call that Beginner's luck! BAH!! LOL j/k I am happy for her!

😂😂Cheryl! I didn't know what I was going to read when I opened this thread. I've got Celadine blooming intermittently this summer, and Riviera Rainbow earlier this summer, but the other plumies are taking their time. It's been a strange summer.

I've got a couple of inflos now on some plants now, we'll see if they bloom before I have to take them in for the winter.

Cheryl you are not alone! I have 25 varieties that were supposed to bloom this year but never did. My huge Hausten White and Trimark Plumeria, which year over year were covered in huge football sizes multiple clusters have no inflos at all. If these 2 won't bloom this year, this would be the first for me with no blooms since I had them. And they are all in full sun.

I have been working a lot lately though so I have not been doing my usual feeding of super bloom "weekly weakly". My J23 plumeria is blooming nicely though.

Same with me. Long, wet winter weather delayed potting everything up a full month. Several had stalks. A few bloomed but some never did. My 'Scott Pratt' is the only one that has bloomed consistently (that I still have). All my blooming 'Celadine' sold quickly. I haven't really checked for new stalk growth in almost two weeks. I have been out of town so much, and had so many plants to ship out the few days I was home, that I just haven't had the time to check on the plumeria.

gigi, with husband sick and in the hospital all winter and spring, the plants got back outside later than usual, and missed a bunch of feedings. I tried to play catch but u guess it didn't work. Or maybe it did? I will keepl LookingForUnflo and maybe i will get a nice surprise Kate in the fall season? Or, there's always next year. I've waited 10 years for my oldest and tallest to bloom again. So what's another year, right?

It's hard when you're busy to take care of all the plants as they should be. This summer for me it was late hours at work, and traveling with my DS for his sports. The plants at least stayed watered, and I did finally feed them with some E.B. Stones 0-10-10 about 1 month ago, then I did do Gigi's weakly weekly, and I found a small inflo on my orange shade plumie that was planted in 2011 from the co-op, and recently repotted to a larger pot.

As drdawg said, this crazy, wet cooler summer that we've had has really affected the plumeria growth. We're rarely gotten to 90 degrees, and for the past 2 weeks we've had daytime temps in the low 80's nights in the 60's. Some of my cuttings that have been planted since the end of June are barley leafing ( is that a word ) out. I hope our weather stays warm enough for the new inflos to mature.

In for a break and some carbs. DD brought fetucchini home from work. It tastes soooo good right now! I think it is close to 100* today. No real rain in sight. We are in a drought for sure according to my water bill. But it's humid so it feels like it. phew! I've moved the Plumies so that they get a super dose of afternoon sun. I noticed the neighbor's Wax Myrtle tree has been shading it at 3 o'clock on. When did it get so tall? So, now they are on the opposite side of the driveway getting full 4 o'clock sun. That should help? I have a 90% shade garden. The driveway and a bit of the front yard is the only sunny place I have. And the sun is disappearing from the front as the trees grow taller next door. Silly me. I thought all this time the driveway was for cars. I didn't know that they were for growing plumeria.



Dh is jealous and would love to come out to the yard and play. He got out of his wheelchair this afternoon,used his crutches, and sat on the deck to watched me work trimming and weeding in the back. I told him I would put him on a tarp and drag him around if he wanted to pull weeds that badly.

Cheryl, please be sure somebody has a video camera in hand when you do that!

My faithful little plumie had a very meager, short bloom season in hmmm?? Maybe May? Then just the odd flower since then. No big fragrant inflo's here either. But tons of growth and new branches/leaves.

We had nearly a foot over average rainfall for July and August here. Tons of water, and of course that means there was less sun, too! Maybe it is starting to dry out a little, today we actually have had no rain - Yet! First day in over 3 weeks.

(just heard some thunder rumbling, but I think it is fairly far away . . . )

Glad the DH is starting to move around. I pray he continues to recover well.

Dinner here is leftovers from yesterday, spaghetti with garlic and olive oil, with sausage and peppers. The poor DS ate his at lunch, and then asked me what was for dinner, seriously

My plumies here live on the back deck and get full afternoon sun. I read where they need at least 6 hours of sun in order to do well. Your plants look very healthy. Hopefully you may get some inflos soon now that they'll be getting more sunlight.The rain has finally stopped here, and now we've got some sunshine this evening.

It sounds like it was a pasta day; I had some leftover roast chicken and made a pasta sauce with roasted red peppers, garlic and smoked paprika to go with it. It was YUMMY. Finishing up what was left of a bottle of Pinot Grigio too
