You got that right! And I'm assuming you're right handed. What luck it landed on your left hand! That can't happen very often!!!!

It's great too b/c with your fingers in the photo, it allows us to really see the size of the butterfly.

Yes, I am right handed.

If you are gauging the size of the Butterfly, my hands are quite small, as I am all of 5 feet tall.

Kind of an amazing day today - saw 9 varieties including about a 100 blues/hairstreaks in the garden today. They were concentrated in 4 locations;
two were in mints and two in wildflower stands (Tall boneset and New England Aster). The other varieties - Red Spotted Purple, Skipper, Sulphur (maybe 2 var), White, Am Snout, Buckeye, and a Pearl Crescent. Got pics of all but the last one which I must have inadvertently discarded when culling the several hundred pics down to a manageable number.
Here's a selection - first my favorite view of the blues, when wings are spread (which isn't very often)-

Loving all these great B'fly photo's ... great shots everyone!

J: You sure do have a wide variety of beauties visiting your garden; I love that bunch of blues on the Eupatorium flowers!

Janice: Great shot of the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail; I've been seeing them down here the past few days too. I just took these pic's a few minutes ago. My husband was in the garage and came in and said "There's another real big butterfly out here you should take a picture of." It was the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail and it let me get real close for some photo's:
