Ok, I am probably not putting this question correctly but I have a question. Now to enter a trade name I see that . But on websites there are "mixes" that are just available to that particular seller. Not patented. You buy that mix and plant it and I have just always put those pictures under the general plant listing. But each is unique to that seller and if you buy a mix elsewhere it would not be the same.

Example. I plant a lot of bulbs. At Scheepers bulbs I planted this daffodil mixture of theirs.

Long trumpet mixture. So when I have a picture I have always just labeled it daffodils. But they aren't just daffodils, they are all Scheepers particular mix of Long Trumpet daffodils. Really I didn't worry much about this till the image sets came up and now I have a lot of pictures of my bulbs en mass that I would like to do image sets. But they all feature this type of mixes I used as an example. So my mixes are not in the database. Means no linked tags.

Just link them to the parent page for daffodils.

You could also add a comment to your image and further identify what particular mix you are showing. I would like to see people use the comment section for a brief description of what we are looking at, what time of year, where they are at, etc. Anything that might be useful.

So a mixture of early blooming tulips should just be tagged tulips? Late blooming tulips again just tagged tulips? Supposing they are perennial tulips like Greigii? If I tag them tulips I loose the abilty to tag them with a Division.

Probably this is only important to me and not to everyone else.

You can have more than one tag per photo. You can tag the main parent plant, along with each individual cultivar that you know of.

Dave I thought about how to do the tags so that I both had them linked to the database and yet still showed that the daffs were a long trumpet mix. So I went back and did do two tags as you suggested on the daffodil section of the picture. They over lap. But one tag shows the parent entry for Daffodils in the database so links to the database and the other tag IDs them as a Long Trumpet Daffodil Mix. So I feel I have accomplished what I wanted to in those pictures. Both linking to the information about daffs in general and letting people know the daffs they are looking at are long trumpet types.

I would never have thought of doing two tags so thanks for the suggestion.

Yes, tags can overlap some. They just can't cover each other.

No, they don't cover each other but overlap on the middle. I checked the pictures after I was done and it showed up well as you moved your mouse over.
