So my semps bloomed, flower stalks wilted, and I have removed them, and have also removed the dried up leaves..now I have a gaping hole. Is there anything else I should be removing? How does the growth of the remaining semps go..will they take over that space eventually? Blinking

me personally would remove everything and start again and make them less "clumpy" and more round and flat ....

But the hole will eventually close..

I would remove the rest of the roots of the bloomed mother - fill in a little fresh soil - and put some young offsets from the border to the hole;

the hole would fill without that - but it takes much longer;

I agree With Peter's method you'll barely even know the mother is gone.

I agree with Peter. The easiest and most pleasing result.
