I found them at the end-of-the-summer sale at my local Walgreens. I cleaned them out! Gonna go check another Walgreens when I have a chance.

I love Walgreens. I have found some good garden items at the end of the season. Last year I picked up solar lights for .79 cents.

Thanks for reminding me I need to make a trip tomorrow.

Love my Walgreens. I also picked up some $8 gloves for $1.99. They aren't superb but I'd rather have many pairs around than one expensive pair so that I can have useable pairs while they are being washed. Walgreens is great for clearancing out their seasonal items. We save a lot of money there. They have solar lights at our Walmart for 75¢ now. I use them in my plant pots to feature them at night. I also have them up the driveway to light the way. But that's when they were full price, a whopping 97¢.LOL

Well, don't I feel stupid. I read too quickly and went to Wal Mart. Okay, tomorrow is another day...
Wal GREENS. Duh, I should remember that because I used to work there when I was a teen.

I hit two other Walgreens. One wasn't marked down at all. The other were 79¢ not 39¢. The cashier told me to hold out, that they might be further reduced. There was a whole shoe box full, maybe 700 markers! Drooling I might make the manager an offer for the whole box. Sometimes they are good at making deals when they need the space.

I say go for it! I once asked a manager for a 'take it all away' price and bought all the yarn in the store. It doesn't hurt when they say no, but if they say yes the feeling is beyond belief.

My Wallgreens did not have the markers and they only had small markdowns. I will wait until next week and see what they do. They had a firepit that was 49.00 marked down to 44.00 Huh!!!! That is not a Walgreens sale.

I picked these up on Ebay for about $6 searching "plant markers". There are 50 of them and quite stunning, I think! I think they were originally bases for solar lights. But when paired up with the cheap Walgreens plant marker, I think the set makes a statement. Now, where is my label maker.....

I love your inventiveness. Next time my cheap solar lights wear out, I will re-purpose the bases.
