Consider there's an emergency, and all of your other valuables are not in danger, just your plants. You've only got time to grab one - which is it?

I can't even answer my own question, my mind just spins, but look forward to any replies!

That's a hard one. I'd probably grab my Philodendron erubescens 'Pink Princess', or maybe one of my orchids, or maybe it would be one of my Hoya plants.

.... see, I told you it was a hard question. Green Grin! Knowing me I'd probably grab an armload of plants and yell at my husband to grab the wheelbarrow. Rolling on the floor laughing

OK, if Tara is willing to put that much effort in...

...this isn't fair because they are all in a pot together, but I'd grab the Dracaena marginata tree my Gramma gave me about 20 years ago, with 3 different Begonias, Alternanthera, Tradescantia 'Red Hill,' Hypoestes at the base. This seems to be the one I run to first when there's a sudden storm...?

Lin, when there's any kind of emergency, screaming at DH is always good!! LOL!

I only have three plants that live in the house year around. 9 months out of the year, the fight would be between my Peace Lily, my philodendron, or the Money Tree. The Money Tree would probably win out as it is small enough to carry out. I don't think I would have time to get the dolly for the Peace Lily in a fire.

In the winter, that would be a tough one since many of my tender plants come into the house. I would grab up one of my plumeria, I suppose? Gosh! Why make me choose? This is like Sophie's Choice!

I can't even decide. however I'd leave the desert cacti behind if I could take the rest.

OMG what a question! Grumbling

I'd have to take out my 3 philodendrons and my Golden Pothos first. If I had time I'd come back for some others.
I love all my other plants too, don't get me wrong. But my philodendrons and Pothos are the only plants I haven't managed to kill, so they must love me too! Thumbs up

Well, some plants I see on sale at the big box stores and they look better than mine and sometimes on clearance yet. So all those will be last. And I agree, what a question. Did you loose sleep one night and came up with that? Rolling on the floor laughing
Ok but I almost had that happen to me last week. We had temps going down to 45 degrees and with a yard and porch full of plants, which ones am I going to bring in. My Sans won out. I brought in my small Hahnii group but there is one that is producing new growth (pups) that are different than any thing I have ever seen. These you will never find in the stores.

That is too hard to answer. I cannot decide. I know what I would leave outside. It would probably be one of the tropical plants because I know I can buy them again.

Stush that is a beauty. I do not bring any of my plants in until it gets down in the 30s and will stay in the 30s. I may do it a little earlier this year because I am going to separate and give some of them away. The cool temps help keep the bugs out when I bring them in for the winter.

I'd quickly go for one of my Ceropegia sandersonii
WHY?
- I grew it from-seed-to-flower (sentimental value)
- it's not something I could easily find here and it's quite big (real value)
- it's been blooming for weeks now

First off, that's an awesome sans!
Is that hahnii streaker tag accurate?
I hope that bad boy doesn't revert!

Second, that's the way to go!
First I thought I'd grab my Titan lily, then I thought, nope, expense but I could replace it today! ( if I had money...) then I thought, no! Get the mutants! There's only the ones I have!
Please tree mail me for trades, I'm ALWAYS actively looking for more new plants, and love to trade!

Then I realized, after I got the mutants out, I'd inevitably dive back in and scramble to save more, and probably injure myself trying desperatly to move pots that outweight me...and then die in the fire...
