Rudbeckias are one of the backbones of my summer garden. I often see some exciting newer cultivars but have not had great success with having them overwinter year to year. I am lucky to have some unnamed varieties which seed around the garden each year. Here are some pictures of a named cultivar, Cherokee Sunset, which I saw saw other day.

Beautiful! I have tried so many times but these fancy types never over winter for me. A shame as I just love them.

They don't always overwinter here either, sorry to say. I love these!

I sometimes plant one of the new fancy ones hoping the bees will give some nice volunteer seedlings.

I can get Autunm Colors to reseed and the color variations are beautiful!

Rudbeckia has not done well at all for me. Going to try it one more time next year and see.

The seedlings haven't been as double as the Cherokee Sunset but I think they are just as pretty.

Well these flowers are looking very nice, I am also looking for some flowers which can grow in all seasons or any kind of weather. Anyhow thanks for sharing these beautiful flowers.
