Thank you Tarev and Sunshine for the links.

Sunshine that was the site I was looking at that had the variegated seedling. I was doing another search today and saw a pretty yellow flower on Amazon but it is from Hirts. After a bad canna experience with them I do not order from them anymore. You never know what you are getting from that company.

We find ourselves in the doldrums of winter (those at higher latitudes in the N hemisphere anyway,) and I find that my eyes are most often on my big Philodendron 'Black Cardinal.' Sure, this is about 95% because it's in front of the TV, but there's a slew of plants just to the right also, but they don't get anywhere near as much eyeball time.

Then there's the little rosette succulents that managed to finagle a spot near a good window. The pretty shades of pink, purple, red...

Am I fair-weather fan? IDK...

That is pretty. I am still thinking about breaking out the credit card. Hilarious! I am looking at what I could put in the pot that would be fragrant or have pretty foilage. Maybe I will use my stand by plant since it needs to be separated. I would have something pretty in the pot when the plant is not blooming.

My Favorite plants are the ZZs. I have 7 of them and will buy more as soon as the weather gets warmer.

My favourite plant is my orange tree. My grandma and I planted a bunch of seeds we found in an orange and it's the only one that survived :). Its been about 8 years now.
It's pretty short and has never had fruit, but it has sentimental value.
I don't have a picture with me right now, but I'll post one later.

My favorite plant is my jade. I started it from an inch high plant almost 9 years ago that I pulled out of my moms plant. It is now over 3 feet high and 4 feet wide with a trunk almost 5 inches in diameter. It has bloomed every year in November since it was about 3 years old.

Your cactus is beautiful! I had a cactus just fall over from the base dead. I mean it looked perfectly green and healthy, then one day it just fell over! It's almost like it rotted, but I didn't overwater it. Any advice?

If you are referring to the jade, it is not in the cactus family. They are both succulents but that's about as close as you could lump them together. Thus, I don't know whether your plant was a jade or a cactus. I can pretty much assure you though, that it rotted because of water. I would have to know what sort of potting mix was used, what sort of drainage was present, what size pot it was in, how much cold was it subjected to, etc. to help you. As you can see, there are a lot of variants that can lead to "over-watering" problems.
