I bought it via mail order from a reputable company and it isn't showing the variegation so far. Is it possible it may not until it grows larger, or have I been sold a dud?

You may want to check back with the place you bought if from. I'm not that experienced with Solomon's seal but I would think it should be variegated. Lets see if anyone has this one.

There is a solid green variety, I am wondering if they shipped you the wrong one. I've had mine a long time, but I believe it was variegated from the beginning.

Just checked my SS.It's variegated. Mine came from a neighbor but I had the plain leaf at the other house.

Sorry I dont have any other info. I would check with the vendor and get a replacment.

Mine is very small but it was variegated from beginning. My mistake was planting them too deep and they did not come up at all last year.
