I planted this a few years ago and cant remember the name. It gets so big and droopy. I think I need to know the name so I can figure out when to prune it back so it doesn't get so big by fall that we cant mow around it. I think its a common plant as I bought it at a big box store. Thanks for any help you can give!!!!

It's a Phygelius, the species is probably aequalis (since the flowers are arranged on one side of the stem) or it could be one of the hybrid cultivars. It's a pretty plant!

Welcome to ATP! Smiling

Thank you Danita... that was such a quick response. So I checked out the ATP database for what you suggested and it is fantastic. I looked at the cultivars and not only found the one I think it is (Croftway Coral Princess) but it talked about where that cultivar was bred originally and its a nursery I frequent often near where I work, so although I thought I got it at a big box store I'm thinking differently now. So I'm very appreciative of all the information today. Hurray! Thanks!

Glad to be of help! Smiling
Some of the Croftway series of Phygelius did show up in some big box stores a few years ago, so it is possible that you got yours at one. I remember that my aunt bought a Phygelius 'Croftway Purple Prince' from a Lowe's or Home Depot in Texas several years ago.
