I have been getting so many thumbs up and I do appreciate them but when I went to see how many I was giving in my profile, it says I have not given any since Mar 1. That can not be, since I know I have given some just lately. How do I know the people I gave them to got them? May I ask someone to check it for me? Where do I do that?

Maybe my thumb is too old to work right.

Jacquie, are you, by any chance, clicking on the thumb twice? Once will activate it and twice cancels it.

Backspacing, or backing to a previous page after clicking the thumb also will usually erase it.

I did not know this!!

You might try it and see; I have a Mac so I have no idea if it happens for others. I just know it happens to me.

Backspacing or using your back arrow should have no effect on your thumbs. But clicking twice will definitely erase the thumb.

Click once to give the thumb. Click the second time to change your mind and remove it.

I do not think I click twice, especially all the times i have done it. I wonder if I have a setting wrong or what?

Please tell me exactly how you give a thumbs up to a person. Maybe I am not putting it at the right place. If i reply to someone, for example Lee just gave a thumbs up in the previous post.. Who will that thumbs up show up for?

In the lower right hand corner of your post you will see a star, an acorn, and a thumb.

I gave you a thumb. In addition to receiving notification, you can also click on the (1) or whatever the number is, and it will tell you who gave you those thumbs.

For example, if someone received 16 thumbs, they can click on the (16) and it will tell them who gave them those thumbs but then Dave also has it now that you are notified.

Before you initially give someone a thumb, the thumb is green. Once you give them a thumb, it turns black.

I thought the little icon of thumbs up with the others at the bottom of the post page was the one you use to give thumbs up....I did not know, or if I did I did not remember it was changed and now the ones that count are from the green thumb where you mentioned. Thank you. Thank you. I just gave you a green thumbs up and it turned black and a (2) is showing.Is that what happens? Did I do it correctly?

If I use the back arrow after I choose to give a thumbs-up and then the forward arrow to return to check it, it looks like it didn't register. So, if I then click on it again I cancel it, right?

I just tested one by refreshing the page. That seems to be the best way to find out if it's been done successfully.
