Sharon - we only have about 80 members here so far. I look for that to change when I am able to do some "advertising" to various places after the Cubits site goes public. Look for there to be some really experienced people here in the next month who will be happy to answer any questions.

That is a very nice seedling. I can see why it won, and why you named it and introduced it.

Hi, MamaP
I can see why you are proud of that one. I have some seedlings but none have bloomed yet Sad I wish I was in a warmer zone or maybe had a GH. I am in zone 6.

Are you a member on Dave's Garden?

No I am not a member of DG I do belong to the robin and a couple more daylily groups. I do have a small hobby greenhouse and winter over
seedlings in it as well as getting my tomatos and peppers started.
Here is a seedling that bloomed first time out of Bama Girl Tee.
Is there a way to put more than one image in a post?
Sharon

Right now you can only put one image per post. But, Dave is supposed to make it so we can put more than one image soon. He must have a To Do list a mile long... but we have been told that more than one image per post is definitely on the list. Look for other nifty things coming down the road, such as blogs, photo galleries, database, etc in each cubit.

I grew Shelter Cove for a couple years. I tell you, on a chilly Ohio morning, that bloom was always wide open by 7 a.m. Amazed me. Part of my plant lived in a friends greenhouse, part planted in my yard. I tried twice to over winter it, and it didn't make it outside. I'd plant it in early spring, it would perform like gangbusters, increase over the summer, and never be seen again. I finally sold the piece that was in the greenhouse, and composted all the seedlings from it. It was one of the few big ruffle edged ones that I really liked.

A friend grows it a few miles from here, and it seems to do ok there.

Here's an early morning photo of it when I had it growing in the ground here.

Well, that is a sad story. Did it ever hang up in the morning? I know that some do.

I'm totally in love with your BAMA GIRL T seedling. I think it's a very unusual color that hasn't been seen much in edged daylilies. Would you call that coral??

Yes I guess it would be a coral color. It was a nine month old bloom and I can't wait to see what it does this year. But My favoriet seedling of all this year was from a cross of
GOD SAVE THE QUEEN X LOVESICK BLUES LB is my 2009 introduction
I could just sit and stair at this bloom all day long.

Oh, Sharon, I absolutely love GSTQ x Lovesick Blues. I could stare at that one for a long time, too. Who are the parents of LB? You have some very beautiful introductions and seedlings. You sent us Bama Girl Tee a couple of years ago as a bonus plant. Thank you for this most beautiful gift.
