I just got my Daylily Journal today and opened the clear plastic wrapping -- and inside there was a booklet announcing Nicole DeVito's Spring 2014 and Fall 2013 introductions. And in the Spring 2014 introductions is the most GORGEOUS extremely toothy daylily, BITES LIKE A THOUSAND TEETH! WOW!!! What a fantastic looking daylily!

I wish I could include a link for everyone, but I just checked her website and the Spring 2014's are not there yet. She has, however, redone her website and it looks terrific.

And I haven't even opened the Daylily Journal to have a look yet! I hope you-all get yours very soon.

OK, I just checked the AHS database and BITES LIKE A THOUSAND TEETH is there, although you can't enlarge the photo and it's a thumbnail. But at least you can see the colors, and it has very large toothy edges.

You'll have to do a search on the name.

We got our Daylily Journal yesterday, and I immediately saw Nicole's newest introductions. WOW! I remember BITES LIKE A THOUSAND TEETH. And, she has some nice dips too. Nicole will be the guest speaker at our Region 5 Winter Meeting on March 1. She will be bringing some of her recent introductions to auction. She has been very generous in the past, and I do not expect her to change. She is also going to donate some of her intros to our Region 5 Spring Meeting auction in June that our Northwest Georgia Daylily Society is hosting. I ordered three daylilies from her Summer Sale week before last, and she included two of her Fall 2013 Intros as gift plants plus sent clumps of the ones that I ordered. We have always been VERY pleased when dealing with Nicole. She is a very sweet young lady.

She's been a pleasure to work with. I won a plant from her on the auction and added SUN SCREAM and SHEIKA to the order (because, have you seen them?? Drooling ) I like her dip intros and think she's going to have some great intros with them later as well.

I was very surprised to see Nicole's 2014 intros so soon. But I will be ordering Bites Like a Thousand Teeth and Razor Sharp. I wanted some more toothy things.

I got my Journal today. Great article in there by Char!

I love the cross section photos showing how the forms are different from one another. Puts an entirely different perspective on them! Great job, Char!

Hurray!

I tip my hat to you.

Finally had time to sit down and go through the Journal. I agree, Juli. Charmaine's article showing how the different forms are actually comprised is super ! Totally makes it all easier to understand the differences and similarities of daylilies and how it all comes about. Char is certainly a gifted teacher. Thanks Char !

I tip my hat to you. pleased to hear you enjoyed the article Sunny, Betty and Juli! Hopefully, explaining the difference between a single flower and a double flower will clear some of the confusion about our daylily forms. The article on the color white was so creative and eyeopening....we still have a long way to go in getting a true white daylily!
