Do you seed or plant other things with the bulbs?
This Fall, I am sowing "Tulip Toppers" , a wild flower mix, over the bulb plantings.
From this mix, I am hoping to find a few varieties which do well as Fall seeders.

That sounds like a fabulous combination and it will look so pretty. I just don't have the room to do such a thing.

An annual phlox?
Or one of the perennial ones?
I am going to WS phlox divaricata, but it is more for shade or woodland exposures.
Tulips go in the sun here.

Oh, I just got some of those at end of season sale.
That is a good idea for them to be planted with Fall planted bulbs.

In front or in back... ? I was debating that just last week. Ended up planting some early bloomers *behind* later varieties, thinking the later blooms would help hide the aging foliage of the earlier ones... now hoping the earlier bloomers will be tall enough to show off well!
