As a comment about Hen and Chicks (Sempervivum tectorum 'Beate (ll)'), banker07 wrote:

There are two different cultivars with the same name 'Beate.'

The photos in this database entry don't show the 'Beate' bred by Bill Keen - they show the other 'Beate,' bred by Günther Dillmann / Germany (S. tectorum - cultivar). If two different plants have exactly the same name, we in germany will give the one bred later the add-on "( II )"; I don't know how ATP wants to handle this.

I think Günter Dillmann is the breeder; Erwin Geiger is nearby to Günter and he told us so;

only Horst Diehm tells the other story...

it is a S. tectorum - cultivar!
