I just had to pop in here and read Juli's story again before going to bed! I love trying to fall asleep when I have the giggles! It usually means that I'll have a silly dream!

Gosh, this is harder than I thought I keep going back and forth and changing and re-writing. Hope I get mine done in time but I am struggling Having fun doing it though

It was fun. I just finished mine and sent it to Julie. It took me a few hours to look through the AHS database for names of daylilies to add to my story. Once I had everything it went a little quicker.

How much over 500 can we go?

Marilyn, I looked back over our notes to each other and in them we decided that 'slightly over or under' is acceptable. So I'd say a few words over or under would be OK, but to me 10 is a few. So I'd try to stay as close to 150 or 500 as I could, mostly out of respect for those who have already submitted theirs and kept within the suggested word frame.

I hope this answers your question. Juli or Char might have a better answer, but I'd say let's stay right around 10 because that could amount to a complete sentence that you might need.

This contest has been HUGELY fun. I had no idea when I started that it would be so all-consuming but I couldn't hardly do anything else until I finished up. I had to get it turned in so I could go on to other things. Now I want it back because I've had more ideas! WOW! What a fun addiction!

It took me hours to look up the daylily names on AHS but once I got some names to go with my story, the actual writing didn't take very long.

I'm like Jill. I don't want to turn mine in yet because I am afraid I'll think of something that sounds better. I've got to turn it in soon, because it is just consuming me

And then later we will all have fun because we get to read all the stories.
