I do love that aster. It is a type of Chinese Tiger Paw. I started a mix of colors this year from seed that were really nice. Here's the full photo

Simply lovely Joanne! I tip my hat to you.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

Yes Greg, that's me a few years ago, the first time we rode across the bridge, it was a fabulously beautiful October day. We did it again a couple of years later but it was cold and overcast. We park on one side, ride over and into a town on the other side, have lunch and catch a ferry back to the city and ride back to our car.

Toni haha exactly! A sea anemone! Sticking tongue out (oh or did you mean the plant?) *Blush*
CalifSue, what a great way to spend the day! I love the bay area! Haven't been there for a while now though! I tip my hat to you.

After I read anemone, I thought it looked like a sea anemone also! Didn't even consider the plant! Hopefully it wasn't the plant that was being referred to!

The color is really amazing, and I can just see it swaying back and forth in the ocean.

No, was thinking of sea anemones, not the flower. Like this one:

I am so jealous. I can't grow anything from seed... except for thistles. Those grow from seed for me very well, whether I want them to or not.

I do leave an amount of thistle growing because the chickadees love them! (I actually don't mind them either, I know they're not the 'friendliest' plants what with all those prickers but...they're pretty in their way!) Shrug!
Toni its funny how several of us were thinking the same thing! Hurray! I tip my hat to you.
Oh wow I just looked at your link, it looks just like it!! How crazy!! Thanks Toni, that's really cool!

Thanks everyone. The only place I have found to order the seeds is Vesey's Seeds. They have both, a Canadian and US online catalog.
