They seem to no longer put the tray on the bottom of the baskets. you can buy hanging things that hook onto the larger baskets but they only seem to come in the one size. Wondering what you all use for the water to run into when watering instead of it running out on the floor.

I do have the plastic surrounds on some of my hanging plants, however, for some of my plants I bring them to the sink and water them and just wait until the water runs through them. You didn't say whether your hanging baskets are larger than the plastic "baskets" or smaller. I also have a large tray in my sunroom filled with pebbles, in which I can also set baskets to drain after watering.
Any day you wake up on the sunny side of the grass is a good day.

We have a couple hanging pots that we had to put inside a larger decorative pot, to catch the water. Then we suck it out with an old turkey baster we have for just that purpose.

The baster part, yes. We put the smaller pot in the larger pot when we hang them, but after watering there's really no way to get the excess water out without taking the hanging down, so that's when the baster comes in handy.

I guess I didn't explain that very well. *Blush*

I think the confusion may be the type of hanger we're talking about. I went back & reread your post. I'm not talking about the hangers that you snap onto the pots. We have bought those, taken the plastic hanging thing off & used macrame hangers. We put the smaller pot inside a larger pot (sometimes ceramic, often times plastic) and then put the whole thing in a macrame hanger.
