I hadn't shared images of my garden rocks here. I started @ 70 of them in the past couple weeks. I take walks in the surrounding woods and come home with my mineral treasures..

It's not petrified wood. Not exactly sure what it is. I know it's a schist that has some crystalline structure and there are layers that erode more than others. There are outcroppings of it in the woods and pieces have broken off over time. I also find it on stone walls.

Greg I was not ignoring you... I just could not find your post to reply to... but with some help from my friends at the site forum, Here you are.

Thanks for liking my avatar. I took a little trip to the mountains and thought I would commemorate fall by showing a bit of color.
There are a lot of pictures at my blog.

Love this time of year!!!
